We designed every element of this autumn weekend so you can simply pack your favorite knitwear and exhale. Here are the answers to the questions we receive most.
Can I come by myself?
Absolutely. This weekend is designed to feel welcoming whether you arrive solo or with a friend. You'll have plenty of natural opportunities to connect over meals, activities, and downtime—without pressure to be “on” all weekend.
What are the sleeping arrangements?
We’ll offer both private and shared room options. In some shared rooms, two guests may share one king or queen bed instead of separate beds.
If you’re booking with a friend, that may be an easy fit. If you’re coming solo and would prefer not to share a bed, choose a private-room option if available, or message us before booking so we can help you understand the available arrangements and pairings.
All bathrooms will be shared among guests.
What’s included in my registration?
Your registration includes three nights in a private Portland-area luxury home, planned meals and snacks, coffee and tea, the weekend’s hosted activities, Halloween movie night, and thoughtful extras woven throughout the weekend.
What’s not included?
While the main weekend details are handled, guests are responsible for:
* Travel to and from the Portland area, including airfare if applicable
* Transportation to the home and any personal transportation during the weekend
* Personal purchases, optional outings, and incidental expenses
* Travel insurance, if desired
Are activities mandatory?
Not at all. If you prefer to spend an afternoon curled up by the fire with tea and a book, your choice to rest is fully respected.
Can dietary needs be accommodated?
We’ll do our best to accommodate common dietary needs, including gluten-free, dairy-free, and nut-free requests, when shared in advance.
All meals are prepared in a shared kitchen, so we cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment. If you have a severe allergy or highly specific dietary restriction, please message us before registering so we can help you decide whether this weekend is a safe fit.
Do I need to arrange my own travel?
Yes. Guests arrange and cover their own travel to the Portland area and transportation to the home. Once the group is confirmed, we’ll share more arrival details and may help connect guests who want to coordinate rides.
Where will we be staying?
The retreat will take place at a private luxury home in the Portland, Oregon area. We will share the exact address with registered guests closer to the event for privacy and safety.
Plan to arrive after 4 PM on Thursday, October 29, 2026, and depart by 10 AM on Sunday, November 1, 2026.
What should I bring?
Bring comfortable clothes, layers for Portland fall weather, toiletries, and anything you need for a good night’s sleep. You’re also welcome to bring any personal snacks or beverages you’d like to have or share.
Be sure to bring Halloween pajamas for movie night!
What happens if the retreat sells out?
If all spots are filled, you can join the waitlist. If a space opens up, we’ll reach out in the order requests are received. And if this weekend doesn’t work out, waitlist guests will be the first to hear about future getaways.
Pricing & Terms
Choose either a private-room or shared-room option. Each room type is available as either:
Pay in full: Save $100.
Two-payment plan: Pay 50% at booking; the remaining 50% is automatically charged 14 days later, no later than October 15, 2026.
Registrations made after October 15 require payment in full.
Your registration includes three nights of lodging, planned meals and snacks, coffee and tea, activities, and thoughtful weekend extras. Travel, transportation, and personal purchases are not included.
Cancellation & Refund Policy:
Please read this policy before registering. We commit to the home, food, activities, and other retreat expenses in advance, so cancellations affect the full group experience.
Cancel within 48 hours of booking: Receive a full refund, less a $100 administrative fee, provided your booking is made before October 15, 2026.
After 48 hours: You will receive a 50% refund, less a $100 administrative fee, if we are able to replace your registration with another participant. We will make reasonable efforts to fill your spot.
We do not offer refunds for late arrival, early departure, missed activities, illness, travel delays, or personal emergencies.
If Getaway Girls cancels the retreat, you may choose a full refund of all payments made or a transfer to a future Getaway Girls retreat, if offered.
